Minority Communities Achievement Service

Our service consists of:
  • Head of Service

  • Family Liaison Officers
  • Bilingual Support Assistants
Our role is focused on raising and maintaining high levels of achievement for Minority Ethnic and Bilingual children and young people by:
  • Providing a range of generic and bespoke training opportunities (please see Training & Development & CPD Online)
  • Advising and supporting the school improvement agenda in partnership and collaboration with other agencies within the LCTBs
  • Facilitating School Improvement Groups (SIG) with SLT teams and local networks with Designated Teachers to disseminate good practice
  • Advising schools in their self evaluation and post Ofsted planning
  • Supporting and modelling learning in the classroom
  • Leading on projects to build capacity and link schools (School Linking Network)
  • Supporting and contributing to the Common Assessment Framework process
  • Supporting schools to improve access to education and raise the achievement of the most vulnerable Refugee and Traveller children
