The development of a Children’s Trust in Kent, in line with Every Child Matters, has confirmed the improvement of health outcomes for children, especially those in difficult circumstances as a very high priority. Looked after children, those with learning difficulties and disabilities, young people in the transition between childhood and adult life, young offenders and other vulnerable groups all need more effective and timely support, co-ordinated through integrated commissioning and service delivery. The Children’s Trust will create new opportunities for information sharing, integrated process and teams to enable children and young people and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes. The CAMHS Steering Group wishes to engage partners including service providers and commissioners for children and young people and their families, voluntary agencies, schools, children and young people and their families and other and interested organisations, authorities and parties in the fullest possible consultation. Your response will help us to make our Kent Strategy as good as it can be.
