Kent Trust Web Survey 2009

Thank you to everyone who completed our 2009 user survey.  A summary of the responses and full analysis can be found below.

We received both positive and negative feedback:

"Very useful for reminding me of deadlines and for information regarding changes in policy etc.”

“I find it reassuring knowing that information is easily available to find on the site and I would be quite lost now without it.  The up-to-date information prevents having to store hard copies of documents and then remembering to update when appropriate e.g budget book.”

“I have been using the site since it started.  I appreciate it is a very large complex site, sometimes it can be  hard to find what you are looking for in the menus etc. But it is getting more intuitive and user friendly.  Thank you.”

The most common themes for suggested improvements were the need for a more effective search, better site navigation and more frequently updated pages. These are all things we can improve with your assistance as the information providers.

We also have a number of innovations in the pipeline which have been presented to various teams in CFE. These include a new content management system (CMS) which will follow the replacement of the kent.gov.uk and KNet CMS this year, the use of the Kent Learning Zone for the secure part of the site and a new training application package for better access to development opportunities across the directorate and partners. We will be working with many colleagues on the parenting agenda to ensure our public facing pages are upgraded accordingly.

If you have any further comments to make about the site, or our weekly E-Bulletin, please contact us at communicationcfe@kent.gov.uk.

Headteacher Survey 2006: ClusterWeb Upgrade

Since its inception, the daily usage of ClusterWeb has increased, particularly following the release of the Schools E-Bulletin which generates a weekly average of 29,000 page views. Because this growing usage is starting to impact upon the performance of Clusterweb, the Communication & Information Governance Team are planning some improvements to the site.

The documents available below contain valuable feedback from the survey Headteachers completed in late 2006:
