British Council have launched a new Connecting Classrooms scheme and the International Development Unit is looking to submit a group application on behalf of Kent Schools. We will be submitting a mixed group of 5 schools (secondary and primary) that are interested in setting up a link with Cuba.

The Project offers:

The opportunity to work with partner schools on collaborative curriculum projects which enable learners to interact across geographical boundaries and enhance their understanding of each other's societies, languages and cultures.

Professional development for teachers, school leaders and Partnership Co-ordinators in local authorities or other co-ordinating bodies. This builds capcity to support international partnerships and to work in an international environment.

Grants of up to £2,500 per year are available for each partnership to cover the costs of joint projects, travel and subsistence for participants over the first two years of your partnership.
