As the legislation regarding the contracted services for catering changes, a contract letting service which allows the flexibility to meet individual schools’ needs is offered to schools. Packages have been tailored to meet the needs of schools in contracts, who will receive year round support, and also schools who have undertaken their own service arrangement but require support from the ‘Pay As You Use’ services. Although new procedures enable schools to negotiate their own contracts, they also put more responsibility on the school. Whichever services you choose, Client Services can help reduce the risks to the school.

Note: All schools that undertake their own catering arrangement will take delegation of their catering budget. In addition to the usual responsibilities schools will now have to pay for:

  • Free school meals
  • Kitchen equipment repair and maintenance
  • Light equipment replacement
