Digital Curriculum

An Education & Libraries 'Connecting Kent' project
'Putting Learners First' began in 2003 as a 'proof of concept' project in partnership with Microsoft Education and Ramesys e-learning.
The project aimed to demonstrate how technology improves learning and drives up the quality of students' education experiences and their standards of achievement. Students, teachers, parents, benefited from innovative technology including the freedom of wireless connection, and the largest deployment of Tablet PCs in the UK.
At the heart of 'Putting Learners First', was a Learning Platform that encouraged collaboration in the creation, management and sharing of learning resources. Kent's vision of ICT being used to connect communities of schools, working with each other in a collaborative culture to deliver a sustainable change in learning and pedagogy is now moving forward through both the Primary and Secondary Strategies.
