Be Healthy
Eating more fruit and veg is important for us all, but how many of us actually manage to eat 5 A DAY?
There are plenty of things you can do to help your family eat more healthily, and the good news is, making healthier meals needn’t cost a lot of money. You can still enjoy your favourite meals but it’s better to make them with your own ingredients – and cheaper too.

Got leftovers like carrots, pepper or tomatoes? Chop them up into tasty snacks for the kids and save money and waste.
Make your own tasty burgers, packed full of crispy lettuce and juicy tomatoes in a wholemeal roll. You could even make it extra fun by getting the kids to make their own burgers, choosing what delicious healthy things to stack into them.
It doesn’t get much easier or cheaper than this! All you need to buy are eggs and add some leftover veg into omelettes to make your mark on this simple meal.

There are lots of fun ways to get the whole family moving more and enjoying a more active lifestyle.
Things like swimming, cycling, playing and walking can all have a big impact on burning calories, as well as letting you spend more time together as a family.
If you fancy learning something new in the process, why not try dancing? Learning some dance moves or even a whole routine is a fantastic way of having fun, and you can do it together or practice on your own.
Once you’ve got started with some family activities, you’ll be surprised at how much fun they can be and how easily they can become a habit that everyone will enjoy.
They don’t have to be expensive and they can even turn into really easy ways to find something for the kids to do.
