About Us

Working together for families and children under five

Grove Park Children’s Centre in Sittingbourne, Kent, is a community based centre that provides services for local families with children under five years. Our area runs from Grove Park to Upchurch, encompassing Lower Halstow, Iwade, Hartlip, Newington, Bobbing and Borden.

Children’s Centres are being developed across Kent as part of the Government's commitment to the best start in life for every child, better opportunities for parents, affordable quality childcare and stronger and safer communities. At Grove Park Children's Centre, our services include

• drop in sessions for parents and children with fun activities like music and messy play
• short term courses running throughout the year
• information and advice for parents/carers on a range of subjects including any health issues
• a child health clinic twice a month
• support for childminders and
• links with Jobcentre Plus. 

The Children's Centre is not a childcare centre but has links to childcare providers in the area. All our services are planned and delivered in line with the ‘Every Child Matters' framework and the Early Years Foundation Stage. We would be glad to hear from you by e-mail, telephone or in person and will answer any questions you may have about local children’s services. We will also provide information about other services which may be of help to you.
