The Kent Safeguarding Children Board (KSCB) provides information for everyone in Kent who is concerned about 
safeguarding children and meeting their needs. That particularly includes children, parents, and everyone in Kent
The importance of inter-agency co-operation and communication has been highlighted in all reports concerning child deaths and serious injuries, most recently and notably the Laming Inquiry into the death of Victoria Climbie. The Children Act 2004 drew these themes together and set out measures for the development of Local Safeguarding Children Boards (LSCBs), previously known as Area Child Protection Committees (ACPCs), by April 2006.
Every Child Matters: Change for Children emphasises the shared sense of responsibility across agencies for safeguarding children and protecting them from harm.
