Actually, this website is new! It was launched on 5 November 2007 to provide information that will help safeguard children, and give everyone easy access to the Safeguarding Board’s guidance and procedures. It is still being developed, but soon it will provide up-to-date information about what the Board and its members are doing, and keep everyone up to date with the latest news and developments about working with children and their families.
Kent has recently completely revised all of its safeguarding procedures and practice guidance. These have been revised to ensure that they are completely compatible with the guidance provided by the Government in Working Together to Safeguard Children (2006).
The latest edition of the KSCB Newsletter is now available with the welcome by Kel Arthur, Head of Children's Safeguard Services.
New KSCB training courses have now been uploaded onto the training pages:
Please note that the Training Calendar for April 2009-March 2010 is currently being arranged and will appear on the website soon.
To request a place on the courses, complete an application form and email, fax or post it to Rachel Tappenden, the Training Administrator.
KSCB have added a new page to their Resources and Library providing various links on issues surrounding Information Sharing.
